Blake had fun on his birthday although was super shy when the family started to sing to him! He loved it in the morning when we did a candle in his pancake, but when it was time for his party and for him to blow out his candles on his birthday race car cake, he totally froze! He became very shy and pouty! It kinda made me mad because I didn't get very many great pics of him blowing out his candles. He went on a time out after his tantrum, :) and then he came back and wanted to eat his cake with his cousins. He did eat all his cake and even had 2nds! He had a blast opening his presents from everyone...and thank you all for thinking of Blake!!
A funny thing to tell is, that morning Nathan and Matthew wanted to give him something and so they went downstairs in our basement and found the toy bin of big trucks and cars that Blake hadn't ever seen yet. They chose a couple from the bin and wrapped them up! This is the funny part...Blake loved those "recycled" toys more than the new one we gave him!!! Go figure!
Can't believe Blake is 3 already. Hope we can conquer the potty training soon! I am ready to be a diaper free household again!! Wish us luck! hahaha

The cake turned out cute Liz! Isn't it strange when kids decide to act shy? Who knows... Maybe it was his cousins? Glad it all worked out in the end and he had a good birthday. He has the best smile!
