Basketball

So last sat. marked the end of our busy basketball season! Both boys played rec ball this year, and we were constantly going to practices 2-3 times during the week, and then games on sat. They both loved it but we found it hard to keep track of with both having traveling games. I did think it was odd that we only had 2 home games, and we would play Erie Teams out in Platteville or as far as Kersey! Crazy! But anyway we had a great time. Scott helped coach Matthew's team this year and had fun. It was fun to see them together. :)

Nathan had a great coach this year as well, and had a great year. His Defense has much improved and he even stole the ball a few times, and made some good baskets! We are proud of them both at their accomplishments. Nathan's team got to go to at tourney this time and they played 3 games in 5 hours! They won the 1st game and then had to wait 2 hours before the semi round. After a nail biting 2nd game, they won that one too! So, they got to be in the finals! Then another nail biting game, and down to 17 sec..with being ahead by 1 point...too many fouls and "gimmie" free throw points in the last few seconds making another nail biting game! Sadly they lost by one point. The boys were really sad, but I kept telling Nathan what an accomplishment to win this many all on one day! They received 2nd place and were still happy...mostly..;) at the end.

Here are some pics from the season.
Most of my action shots turned out way too blurry! Sorry! Here are just a couple..

Scott and Matthew with their team! go Cougars! (note..Matthew wasn't very happy as the choice of name of the team..he thought for sure it should have been the Trojans..and wearring red/gold. We thought that was funny and told him it was ok...for him to be a Cougar this time :) Hahaha) Matthew and Blake cheering on Nathan at one of his games
Matthew dribbling down the court
A free throw try...he did his best!

Nathan playing hard!
Zoom! he was too fast for me! Sorry for the blurrrrrrr

At the end of the long tourney day...he had a smile and a hug for mom!

I thought Nathan did an awesome job this year, he is a great BB player! Not to mention it was so much fun spending time with my friend cheering them on at their games. :)
